Copperfield’s launches new e-newsletter

Discontinues Mailing Literary Review and Calendar of Events

Copperfield’s Books is delighted to announce the redesign of our website and the creation of a new monthly e-newsletter. With a more attractive and streamlined layout, our website now provides greater ease of use and accessibility. Plus, we have added new book, literary arts and events information, and have improved customer online purchasing options. In addition, Copperfield’s Books new monthly e-newsletter will provide news and event information and reminders.

These internet projects also foreshadow another change in the way Copperfield’s Books disseminates literary arts and events information. After the January/February issue, the Copperfield’s Books Literary Review and Calendar of Events will no longer be mailed to homes and businesses. It will, however, continue to be published six times a year and available, as always, free of charge at all Copperfield’s Books locations. Plus, the Copperfield’s Books Literary Review and Calendar of Events will soon be available in other local businesses with which we share an affiliation, such as the Rialto Lakeside Cinemas in Santa Rosa.

Unfortunately, with our ever-changing community, it was an exhaustive task to keep our mailing list current, and out of concern for the environment and our commitment to limit waste, Copperfield’s Books has decided to grow our internet presence and make sure that the Copperfield’s Books Literary Review and Calendar of Events finds it way into the hands of a reader and not into a junk mail bin. Please visit Copperfield’s Books’ redesigned website and signup to receive our new monthly e-newsletter at www.copperfields.net.

Copperfield's Books Opens in Healdsburg

Copperfield’s Books, a company of family and friends, with stores in Calistoga, Napa, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Sebastopol, recently purchased Toyon Books in Healdsburg and re-opened the store as Copperfield’s Books, Healdsburg on July 1.

Martha Dwyer, owner of Toyon Books since 1986, retired from bookselling and moved to British Columbia to develop a small coastal farm with her husband.

“We have been big fans of Toyon and all that Martha has done over the years, and we were very excited when offered this opportunity,” said Tom Montan, CEO of Copperfield’s. “We will be able to add to the great work that has been done and infuse this store with a larger and deeper selection of books and gifts.”

Some of Toyon’s employees will stay to work for Copperfield’s Books. Katie Thompson, previously the assistant manager of Copperfield’s store in Sebastopol, is the new manager of Copperfield’s Books in Healdsburg.

Copperfield’s Books in Healdsburg is open 9am to 9pm, Monday through Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. The store is located at 104 Matheson, on the Square in Healdsburg Plaza, Healdsburg, (707) 433-9270.
